DID YOU KNOW?

RATTING OUT ONE OF YOUR OWN

At the 66th Annual CWA Convention held in Anaheim, CA this past August, the Convention Delegates rejected an appeal by a Local President that she be reinstated to her position after having been removed as President by the membership of her Local.  While on the surface the appeal appeared rather complex, it really boiled down to a very simple matter.  The former President was removed from office by the membership of Local 9509 because she “ratted out” a fellow Union member to management for alleged misuse of company time.

The moral of this story?  Union members DO NOT tattle on, rat out, turn in or make anonymous complaints against other Union members.  If someone is doing something wrong they’ll get caught sooner or later.

 Enough said?
